Northern India Highlights tour takes you to the best tourist destinations of North India. This specially designed tour of North India begins from the bustling Capital city of Delhi, then to the holy city of Varanasi, the erotic temples of Khajuraho, Agra the home of the Taj Mahal, and finally the pink city of India – Jaipur.
DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN DELHI
Namaste and Welcome to India!
Upon your arrival in Delhi, our representative will greet you at Delhi International Airport and transfer you to your Hotel. Check in and Rest of the day is at your leisure and relaxation. Stay overnight at the hotel in Delhi.
DAY 02: DELHI SIGHTSEEING
Good Morning! After breakfast you will be going for a full day sightseeing tour of the capital city of India starting with the majestic Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest and most splendid mosque in India, both built by Emperor Shah Jahan, Rajghat- the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, where he was cremated. Post lunch the sightseeing continues to explore the best tourist attractions of New Delhi including a drive past through the Indian President’s House (Rashtrapati Bhawan) towards India gate built to honour and pay a tribute to the Indian soldiers, then visit Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar; built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty and the beautiful Lotus Temple. In the evening take a cycle rickshaw ride through the bustling and colourful bazaar of Chandani Chowk for shopping or to taste some tantalizing North Indian cuisines. Afterwards return to the hotel for a pleasant overnight stay.
DAY 03: DELHI – VARANASI (BY FLIGHT)/p>
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be met by our representative and he will assist you with the check-out formalities. You will then be escorted to the airport in time to board flight for Varanasi, the next destination on your Northern India Highlights tour.
Varanasi the ‘eternal city’ is one of the major pilgrimage spots in India. Varanasi is located on the banks of the sacred river Ganges. Over 2000 years Varanasi has been a center of learning. Apart from being a pilgrimage spot in India, Varanasi is also considered as an auspicious place to die, establishing an instant route to heaven.
You will be met by our representative at the Varanasi Airport and he will escort you to the hotel and help you with the check in formalities.
Check into the hotel and relax for some time. Your excursion in Varanasi will begin from Kashi Vishwanath Temple and then you will visit the famous Nepali Temple and the Tulasi Manas Temple. In the evening attend the Ganga Aarti at famous Dashashwamedh Ghat and then return to the hotel for relaxing overnight.
DAY 04: TRANSFER TO ALLAHABAD (150 KMS)
Early morning enjoy a peaceful boat ride to witness the panoramic view of these magnificent ghats. The Ghats (River Front) of Varanasi are magnificent and watching people bathing and worshipping at the ghats is one of the most extraordinary experiences of a visit to India. Post breakfast drive to Allahabad. The city of Allahabad is famous for several reasons. Firstly , for the Kumbh Mela, that is held there every 12 years , and then also for being the meeting point of 3 of North India’s most important rivers, the Ganges, the Yamuna and the Saraswati. Later, sightseeing tour of Allahabad visiting the Allahabad Fort, Anand Bhawan, Allahabad Museum and the Triveni Sangam. Overnight in Allahabad.
DAY 05: TRANSFER TO KHAJURAHO (300 KMS)
Early morning you will begin your journey to Khajuraho. The breakfast will be provided on the way to Khajuraho. Upon arrival check in at the hotel and relax. Post lunch explore the historical temples of Khajuraho.These temples have been declared as the World Heritage Sites for their intricate scriptures and the stunning work of architecture. You will also visit the Lakshmana Temple, which is the second largest amongst the temples in Khajuraho. The temple is dedicated to the hindu god, Lord Vishnu. The architecture of this temple is exquisite and the wall paintings are spectacular. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 06: TRANSFER TO ORCHHA (180 KMS)
In the morning, drive to Orchha the next destination of the Ganges and Northern India Tour. At first, you will visit the Orchha Fort which is a symbol of the rich culture of the mighty Rajput rulers. This fort is situated on the island on the Betwa river. The fort is famous for the three most important palaces namely, the Jahangir Mahal, the Raj Mahal, and the Rai Parveen Mahal. You next, you will visit the famous Chaturbhuj Temple which was constructed by the Bundela Rajput ruler in the 17th century. The architecture of this temple is spectacular and the top floor offers a breath-taking view of the landscape.
Overnight stay in Orchha.
Day 07: TRANSFER TO GWALIOR TO AGRA (124 KMS AND 120 KMS)
After breakfast start your journey to the city of Gwalior. Gwalior holds an important place in the history of India and here stands the tall majestic Corinthian architecture 19th century Jai Vilas Palace. Afterwards, continue your drive towards Agra. Visit Taj Mahal in the evening in Agra and make memories of a lifetime. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 08: TRANSFER TO JAIPUR (240 KMS)
In the morning, you will be taken to witness the epic sunrise at the Taj Mahal. You can take some really good photos here and make all these permanent in your life. . Visit the Agra Fort and continue your journey towards the next destination Jaipur. On the way to Jaipur make a halt at the abandoned town of Fatehpur Sikri. Here visit the centuries old Fatehpur Sikri Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After the visit continue your drive towards Jaipur. On reaching check in at the hotel and relax. Evening is free at leisure or you can visit the lively markets of Jaipur.

DAY 10: EXCURSION IN JAIPUR
In the morning, we will visit the Amber Fort. You will be taken to the fort on an elephant. In the afternoon, enjoy the roadtrip to the city of Jaipur city while covering the other attractions like the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal and the local bazaars. You buy some amazing stuff in the local bazaars like handicrafts, semi-precious jewelry articles, traditional clothes, and many other things. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 11: DEPARTURE
Early in the morning you will be taken to Delhi from where you can board the flight towards your onward journey with an extra baggage full of memories.
