DELHI – SHIMLA – KUFRI – KULLU – MANALI – ROHTANG – DHARAMSALA – MCLEODGANJ – DALHOUSIE – CHANDIGARH – DELHI
The picturesque state of Himachal Pradesh is nestled between the snow topped Himalayan ranges in North India. This beautiful state possesses a unique charisma! Truly a, Mighty snow peaks, deep gorges, lush green and golden valleys, flower filled meadows, misty woods, fast flowing icy rivers, glaciers, steep waterfalls, enchanting lakes, rippling streams, Himachal has everything which can fascinate a tourist and thus is a traveler’s paradise. With numerous hill stations in its basket, Himachal Pradesh proves to be a perfect location for the travelers who want to relax and simply feel rejuvenated. The state also offers amazing opportunities for trekking, mountaineering, para gliding, skiing, golf , river rafting and ice skating.
DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN DELHI
Namaste and Welcome to India! You will be welcomed by our representatives on arrival at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to let you overcome jet lag. If you wish you can go for some shopping If there is time in the evening. Return to the hotel for a pleasant overnight stay.
DAY 02: DELHI TO SHIMLA (350 KMS)
Get up early and start your journey towards Shimla. Breakfast will be served on the way to Shimla. Upon arrival in Shimla check in at the hotel and relax. Rest of the day is free at leisure. In the evening you can visit the Mall Road to explore the local area. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 03: SHIMLA – KUFRI – SHIMLA
Today after breakfast we will proceed towards Kufri, a small mesmerizing hill town blessed with scenic locations. One can enjoy the spectacular beauty of this place. Later get back to Shimla and visit Jakhoo Temple- a popular ancient Hindu temple that is dedicated to Lord Hanumana, Shri Sankat Mochan Temple-another famed temple dating back to 1950’s, City Church- second oldest church in North India that is constructed in Neo-Gothic style. Later, take a walk on the Ridge road to enjoy the amazing weather. Afterwards return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 04: SHIMLA TO MANALI VIA KULLU (265 KMS)
After having breakfast check out and start a scenic journey towards Manali which is about 265 kms drive from Shimla.
En-route visit Kullu, a popular tourist destination and an open valley with panoramic views and majestic hills covered with Deodar and Pine trees.
Kullu is famous for Kullu Valley, the Valley of Gods and hot water springs. Late on continue your drive towards Manali. You can take a stop to enjoy a picture session as many times as you want and behold the beauty of valley & mountains. Later upon arrival in Manali check in at the hotel and rest. Evening is free at leisure and overnight in Manali.
DAY 05: MANALI – ROHTANG – MANALI
On the 4th day of the tour, once you have your breakfast, get all set to explore the mesmerizing hill town of Manali, which is also popular for offering interesting adventure opportunities to enthusiasts. Today, you visit Rohtang Pass and Solang Valley. Once you visit these two places, you can not only admire the enchanting scenery but you can also partake in different kinds of adventure activities such as para-gliding, zip lining, rapling, rock climbing etc. Though inaccessible during winters, both these destinations bustle with tourist activities in the summer season. Back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
DAY 06: MANALI SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast set out to visit the attractions of Old Manali, which is home to a number of famous temples. Today, you visit Manu Temple- close to the main market this temple is dedicated to Manu Rishi who was a popular Hindu Sage, Hadimba Devi Temple- an ancient temple that is dedicated to Hadmiba who was the wife of one of the five Pandavas Bhim and Vashisht Temple- believed to be around 4000 years old. The next visit is to the Tibetan Monastery. Later, meet the exotic wildlife of the region at Van Vihar National Park. Back to the hotel for dinner. Stay overnight.
Day 07: MANALI TO DHARAMSHALA
After having breakfast we will proceed towards Dharamshala which will take about 7 to 8 hours approximately. Meal can be enjoyed at local midway restaurant and upon arrival in town get transferred to hotel for some rest. Evening will be free to roam around and enjoy the beauty. Overnight in Dharmshala.
DAY 08: SIGHTSEEING IN DHARMSHALA AND MCLEODGANJ
Post breakfast enjoy the sightseeing tour of Dharamshala and visit The Museum of Kangra art – This museum houses a collection of the famous Kangra miniature paintings, sculptures, and pottery etc, Kotwali Bazaar, War Memorial. Later on continue sightseeing of Mcleodganj. The main appeals of this place are Tsuglagkhang Complex, a very significant Buddhist place of worship, Tibetan Museum, Tibetan Library and the Tibetan Institute of drama Arts. It is also a house of his Holiness the Dalai Lama. Overnight stay at Dharamshala.
DAY 09: DHARAMSHALA TO DALHOUSIE
After having breakfast check out and proceed towards Dalhousie which is about 2 hours’ drive from here and upon arrival get transferred to hotel. Later we will proceed towards Khajjiar, well-known for its picturesque beauty and is popularly called as “Switzerland of India”. The main appeal of the hill resort is the Khajjiar Lake – located in the middle of the town adds fascination to the place, Khajinag Temple – dedicated to Local Goddess is a small shrine also known as Golden Devi Temple. Overnight stay at Dalhousie.
DAY 10: DALHOUSIE TO CHANDIGARH (315 KMS)
After having breakfast check out and proceed towards Chandigarh which is about 8 to 9 hours drive. Lunch can be enjoyed at any midway restaurant and later upon arrival check into the hotel and rest. Evening will be free to explore the local markets in Chandigarh and overnight at hotel.
DAY 11: CHANDIGARH SIGHTSEEING AND DEPARTURE TO DELHI
On the last day of the tour, take city tour after breakfast. The attractions that are a part of today’s list include Nek Chand Rock Garden- a garden consisting of objects that are made from urban and industrial waste such as plastic bottles, bangles human hair etc, Zakir Hussain Rose Garden- Asia’s largest botanical garden that is dotted with 50,000 rose-bushes of around 1600 varied species and Shanti Kunj-away from the regular hustle-bustle of the city, this garden has plants with medicinal properties. After this, enjoy boating at Sukhna Lake, another popular attraction. Post sightseeing; hit the road back to Delhi. Overnight stay at Delhi.
DAY 12: DELHI SIGHTSEEING AND DEPARTURE TO AIRPORT
After breakfast check out from hotel and start for sightseeing tour which will include Red fort, Jama masjid, Raj Ghat, India gate followed by visit to Qutub Minar and later get dropped at the Airport for onwards journey with some beautiful memories to cherish.
