SAMODE PALACE – SAMODE ‘HAVELI’ – SAMODE GARDEN

An ideal desert getaway, Samode is located on the way to Shekhawati and is known for the Samode ‘haveli’ (palace), garden and fort. This district is located close to the picturesque Aravalli hills. One of the popular tourist spots in this town is the Samode Palace. Tucked away in a corner of this town, the Samode ‘Haveli’, built almost 400 years ago, is surrounded by a sprawling expanse of hills. The fort of Sheogarh is also another popular tourist hotspot in the Samode district. Against the arid backdrop of the Rajasthani desert, there is a Samode garden that once served as a recreational ground for royalty. This town is a beautiful oasis set amidst the uneven expanse of a tawny desert. Samode is located 42km away from Jaipur and can be approached by air, rail and road, via the Pink City.

Around 09.30 am in the morning, you will be picked up in an air-conditioned car by our representative who will drive towards Samode.

After reaching this place, visit some of the popular attracions of Samode:

SAMODE PALACE

Samode should be visited for its palace-hotel, showcasing a fine blend of Rajput-Mughal architecture styles, which has been well restored today. Rawal Sheo Singh, who was the prime minister of Jaipur during the mid-19th century, gave the palace its most fabulous addition – the extravagantly hand-painted Darbar Hall and the overlooking gallery, which forms the breathtaking Sheesh Mahal. Samode Palace was transformed into one of the country’s premium palace in 1987.

SAMODE ‘HAVELI’

The Samode ‘Haveli’ is a mansion built in ‘fort’ style and was used during the time of the royal wedding in 1940. The ‘Haveli’ is a must-visit for its rich, Mughal interiors against the contemporary, Hindu setting which creates a spectacular view to behold.

SAMODE GARDEN

The Samode Garden was built in the 16th century, and is spread over 20 acres. There are rows of fountains, flower beds, pavilions and Victorian style décor here to admire. This is a popular tourist destination and the highlights of this place are the sandbag colored tents, Mughal terracing and the Victorian styled furnishings. Truly, a fusion of the best!

After visiting all the major tourist attractions in Samode, you will be transferred to the car for a drive towards Jaipur.

On reaching Jaipur, you will be dropped at the desired location or hotel with sweet memories of Samode Same Day.
